The Board of the KB Foundation is proud to announce that composer Horacio Vaggione has accepted the invitation to become Konrad Boehmer Visiting Professor 2017 at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. Vaggione will work with students and participate in events at the Conservatory for two months. He is expected to arrive on April 1st.
De componist van computermuziek en auteur Trevor Wishart (UK, 1946) is benoemd tot Konrad Boehmer Visiting Professor voor muzikale vernieuwing aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag. Wishart zal zich in een periode van twee maanden (april-mei 2016) richten op de samenhang tussen zijn theoretische en filosofische ideeën en de praktijk van het componeren met digitale middelen.
SENSOR, a work of "electric music theater" written by Konrad Boehmer and librettist Albert Ostermaier, was given its first performance on January 23, 2016 at the Tischelerei in Berlin. On Saturday 4 October 2014, the composer and music critic Konrad Boehmer (born 24 May 1941 in Berlin) died in Amsterdam at the age of 73. He had suffered a cerebral infarction on 10 August while on holiday in the south of France, and since 24 August had been cared for at the Onze Lieve Vrouwe Gasthuis (OLVG) in Amsterdam.
